The institutions draw on the mid-Ming civil service, with Chang'an as the capital and Luoyang as the eastern capital: an alternate history, built with care. Promotion isn't the only ending; transfers, demotions, reinstatement and retirement are all part of the story.
乡试、会试的答卷由你自己写，白话也可以；本机 AI 按当时的正统与政治尺度阅卷。落榜可以再考，也能走举人候选、贡监等路线。You write your own answers to the provincial and metropolitan exams, in plain language if you like, and on-device AI grades them by the orthodoxy and politics of the day. Fail, and you can sit again or take another route into office.
殿上三问，要看当时在位皇帝的性格与政治尺度来答，往往决定名次。直言、转述、劝谏和大逆，结局各不相同。At the palace exam you answer three questions with the reigning emperor's temperament in mind, and it usually decides your rank. Candor, paraphrase, remonstrance and treason lead to very different ends.
授职后每月处理本职差事、意外与小故事；公帑、私产、欠俸、债务和请托分别记账。考满之后，以档案和自己的陈述定去留。Once appointed you handle your post's business, mishaps and small stories month by month, with public funds, private wealth, back pay, debts and favors all on the books. At the end of each term, your record and your own account decide what comes next.
家书、缘会、家宅和人物对话随着身份、地点与经历慢慢打开；同年、上司、乡亲，都会找上门来。Letters, encounters, household life and conversations open up with your rank, posting and history. Classmates, superiors and people from home all come calling.
37 处地点、265 个具体职位，从从九品的小官做起，逐级往上；不同任所，有不同的差事和故事。37 locations and 265 posts. Start at the very bottom of the ninth rank and work your way up; every posting has its own duties and stories.

游戏自带两个本机语言模型：一个负责和你对话，一个负责评判答卷、殿试、考绩与公文。不需要联网，也不需要账号。The game ships with two on-device language models: one to talk with you, one to judge exam answers, palace questions, performance reviews and official documents. No connection and no account needed.
